Aircall publishes its UK AI Voice Agent rates, but a single headline price does not tell you what a month of calls will cost. The total depends on minutes, whether you buy a bundle, and whether the agent makes outbound calls. This guide turns the published rates into a practical budget and flags the charges that are easy to miss.

Aircall AI Voice Agent prices in the UK

Aircall currently lists a free allowance of 50 minutes per month after 100 minutes on sign-up, pay-as-you-go at £0.37 per minute up to 2,500 minutes and £0.29 per minute from 2,500 minutes onward. Its published prepaid options include 500 minutes for £130 and 2,500 minutes for £550. The service has no contract, minimum usage or cancellation commitment on the UK product page. See the Aircall UK AI Voice Agent pricing page for the current offer.

Aircall bills participating AI calls to the precise second, expressed as a decimal minute. Calls shorter than 15 seconds are not billable. That differs from a rounded-up whole-minute model, so use the actual billed duration from your usage report when estimating. Aircall’s billing guide says its report in the dashboard is the source of truth for invoiced usage.

Example monthly costs, before phone-system charges

The examples below assume inbound AI participation, use the published tier rates, subtract the recurring 50-minute allowance, and exclude taxes, toll-free charges, any separately contracted Aircall seats and fees for outbound attempts. They are arithmetic illustrations, not quotes.

  • 500 AI minutes: 450 billable minutes × £0.37 = £166.50 at standard pay-as-you-go rates.
  • 1,000 AI minutes: 950 billable minutes × £0.37 = £351.50.
  • 3,000 AI minutes: 2,500 minutes at £0.37 plus 450 at £0.29 = £1,055.50.

The first month can differ because the sign-up offer includes 100 minutes. Verify the allowance shown on your account and how it is applied to the invoice.

When a prepaid bundle may make sense

A 500-minute bundle costs £130, or an effective £0.26 per included minute; the 2,500-minute bundle costs £550, or £0.22 per included minute. Those rates are lower than the standard pay-as-you-go tiers, but the bundle is prepaid. If usage is below the block you buy, the unused capacity can make the effective cost per used minute higher. Aircall says bundle credits offset usage charges, and are applied to the highest-priced tiers first. Confirm the specific terms in your order and billing view before treating the full allowance as rollover credit.

For example, 300 used minutes against a £130 / 500-minute bundle means £130 paid for 300 minutes of actual usage: an effective 43.3p per used minute. That is higher than the 26p headline rate because the full block was not consumed. A useful rule is to compare your recent monthly usage with the bundle size, rather than selecting a block from a busy week.

The outbound fee is separate from minutes

Every outbound AI Voice Agent call attempt currently adds a £0.011 origination fee, even if nobody answers or the call fails to connect. That fee sits on top of AI minutes and is not included in minute bundles, according to Aircall’s usage and charges documentation. A campaign with 1,000 attempts would therefore add £11 in origination fees before any billable conversation time. This is especially relevant when comparing inbound answering with outbound reminders or lead follow-up.

Aircall says local inbound telephony is included except for toll-free numbers; AI participation is charged separately from telephony. If your workflow uses toll-free numbers, international routing or outbound calling, ask for those line items separately rather than folding every cost into the AI per-minute rate.

A five-point Aircall cost check

  1. Estimate inbound and outbound agent minutes separately from human call minutes.
  2. Apply the free allowance once, then calculate each monthly pricing tier progressively.
  3. Add one origination fee for every outbound attempt, including unanswered attempts.
  4. Compare prepaid bundle size with normal usage over several months, not one campaign peak.
  5. Confirm toll-free, international, tax, number and phone-system seat charges on the final quote.

Questions buyers ask

Does Aircall round every AI Voice Agent call up to a full minute?

No. Aircall says it bills participating calls to the exact decimal minute. Calls under 15 seconds are not billable. The usage report shows the billed duration used for invoicing.

Are the UK AI minutes included with an Aircall phone plan?

Aircall lists AI Voice Agent usage separately from telephony. Confirm the AI allowance and any phone-system or seat charges in your account quote.

Do prepaid bundles cover outbound call attempts?

No. Aircall documents an additional origination fee for each outbound attempt, including one that is unanswered or fails to connect. Minute bundles offset AI usage, not this per-attempt fee.

How should I choose between pay-as-you-go and a bundle?

Compare expected usage across several normal months with the bundle size and its prepaid cost. Include unused minutes and outbound attempts in the calculation, then verify the actual terms on your quote.
