Simple Phones advertises plans starting at $97 per month for 100 calls on its official site, checked on 1 November 2026. Confirm how calls are counted, the scope of your configured agent and the treatment of additional usage before using that amount as a budget.

What the published starting price tells you
The official Simple Phones site describes customised AI answering, appointment-related workflows, call logging and routing. Its starting amount is a useful reference, but it is not a complete quote for every configuration, country, phone arrangement or integration.
Start with the call allowance as a billing unit. A call-based proposal is different from a minute-based allowance or a price based on distinct callers. Keep those units visible in a comparison so one short enquiry is not silently treated as equivalent to a longer appointment conversation.
Ask which interactions consume a call
Request definitions for an incoming connection, a short hang-up, voicemail, spam, transfer, retry and outbound attempt where those are relevant. Confirm whether test calls count and whether a call that reconnects becomes another unit. These are procurement questions, not claims about the vendor’s current accounting.
Use a sample month to estimate the number of billable interactions under those definitions. Keep repeat callers visible. A single customer can make several calls about the same job, so customer count alone will not reproduce a call-based allowance.
| Quote input | What to record |
|---|---|
| Monthly workload | Calls by category and the share directed to the agent |
| Counting rules | Billable events, exclusions and treatment of transfers or retries |
| Required actions | Bookings, updates, messages and routing in scope |
| Additional usage | Current rate, tier change or other policy in writing |
| Implementation | Included changes, connections and ongoing support responsibilities |
Use the allowance arithmetic carefully
At exactly 100 included calls, dividing the advertised $97 starting amount by the allowance gives $0.97 per included call. At 50 calls of actual use, the same subscription divided by usage is $1.94. Neither calculation establishes an additional-call rate or the cost of a larger plan.
For more than the included allowance, ask for the actual proposal rather than multiplying a derived average. Include any required implementation, outside automation and retained carrier costs. Compare the same currency, tax basis and commitment period across providers.
Define what the agent has to finish
Choose a typical enquiry and write down the expected record. A booking request, a confirmed appointment and a message for staff are different deliverables. Specify the calendar, contact fields, assigned owner and any notification the team needs.
Ask to see one normal request and one exception, such as an unavailable time or an existing contact with corrected information. Inspect the saved record after each. This reveals whether staff receive work they can act on or must reconstruct the conversation from a transcript.
Test routing and knowledge changes
Use an approved test contact to ask for a person. Leave the destination unanswered and inspect what the caller hears and what staff receive. Check that the route cannot return to the same agent indefinitely, especially if the main business number forwards into the service.
Change one approved business fact, such as opening hours, then repeat the relevant question. Ask who can make those changes, how requests are reviewed and what support is included. A useful implementation needs a maintainable process after the initial agent has been created.
Make the final comparison outcome-based
Track completed enquiries, valid bookings, failed handoffs and staff correction time during a pilot. A lower cost per answered call can still leave more work per completed booking. Keep any estimated savings separate from observed staff time or cash costs.
Explore Sysevo voice agents, CRM and current plans for a comparable proposal. Bring your call categories and desired record to a workflow demonstration and ask to see both the successful result and the follow-up after a failed action.
Questions buyers ask
Does $97 divided by 100 establish the cost of an extra call?
No. It gives an effective subscription cost per included call at full allowance use. Ask for the actual additional-usage policy separately.
Which call types should we ask about?
Include hang-ups, spam, voicemail, transfers, retries and test calls where relevant. Obtain the current billable-event definitions in writing.
What should we inspect during a booking demonstration?
Check the actual calendar or assigned booking request, the contact details and the staff owner. A spoken confirmation alone does not prove the record was saved.
