Smith.ai’s AI Receptionist pricing page lists a Free option with 25 calls, Pro starting at $150 monthly for 75 calls and Enterprise starting at $500 monthly for 300 calls. Extra-call rates and service scope matter when comparing those starting amounts.

Use the AI Receptionist price list

The official AI Receptionist pricing page is the source for this snapshot. Check the product name carefully when comparing quotes: a separate receptionist service or a different level of managed implementation is not automatically the same purchase.

At the research date, the starting configurations show the following allowances and extra-call rates. Higher-volume options and tailored arrangements also appear on the page. Confirm the selected configuration and current terms before treating a figure as your own quote.

A worked 100-call comparison

Assume exactly 100 billable calls in one monthly period, with no other charges or adjustments. Using the starting configurations above, Free would give 25 included calls plus 75 at $3, totalling $225. Pro would give 75 included calls plus 25 at $2.50, totalling $212.50.

The $12.50 difference in this example does not decide which arrangement is suitable. Required support, configuration and workflow scope still matter. The example is arithmetic using published starting figures, not a sample customer invoice or a forecast for your business.

Establish which calls enter the calculation

Ask how connected calls, repeat callers, short hang-ups, spam, transfers and tests are treated. Keep test and real-call allowances separate. Obtain the current adjustment process and billing-period definitions in writing instead of assuming every entry in a phone log becomes a billable call.

Use an access-controlled report of your own recent workload. Identify the calls you would route to the service, rather than applying the allowance to every call the business receives. An overflow arrangement can produce a different usage pattern from forwarding the main line all day.

Price setup and ongoing changes separately

Define who writes the approved answers, qualification questions, transfer rules and calendar mapping. Ask which work is included in the chosen configuration and who maintains it after launch. A change to your services or intake criteria may require more than editing a greeting.

Include staff review time and any outside systems needed for the workflow. Keep onboarding cash, recurring charges and annual commitments in separate columns. Do not compare a self-configured proposal with a managed one without accounting for the delivery work your team must provide.

Test the result your staff need

Run a fictional new enquiry through qualification and an agreed next action. Inspect the appointment or callback record and confirm the correct owner can find it. Include a caller who corrects their details and a request outside the approved information.

Test an unanswered transfer and a failed external action in an agreed environment. The caller should receive an accurate explanation, and the team should see who must act next. Count staff corrections during the pilot alongside billable calls to understand the actual operating cost.

Compare on a common workload

Use Smith.ai and Sysevo for broader scope, then inspect voice agents and current Sysevo plans. Bring the same call mix and required actions to a demonstration. Ask each provider to show a normal month and a peak month with assumptions visible.

Questions buyers ask

Is a free starting option necessarily the lowest bill?

No. Additional usage can change the result. Apply each option’s actual allowance and extra-call rate to the same expected billable workload.

Does the included per-call average establish an overage rate?

No. Use the separately stated extra-call rate. The average at full allowance use and the charge for additional calls are different figures.

What else belongs in the comparison?

Include the required workflow, implementation, support and staff corrections, as well as the call allowance and monthly amount.
